If I am not mistaken, Courtney is smiling while she swims. Just amazing!! Thank you for all your comments; I’m reading them to her during her feeds. They are REALLY motivating her to keep moving.
Below is Courtney and me (Allison–who lived in Richmond for a long time and knew Courtney from the swim community there; now residing in San Diego) a minute before she jumped in.
Tell Courtney “Good job!”
Smiling in the water. Now it is official. She is nuts. I am really glad that you photo-shopped out the whales, fishies, seals and the like. I will continue to hope she runs into nothing but cold dark water until she hits land.
Hey Courtney! The Chicago Point Swimmers are cheering you on! I swam this morning with the group in Lake Michigan and thought of you swimming at the exact same time in the Pacific Ocean. I saw the sun peek its orange head over the horizon at exactly 6:27 and thought of how you would still be swimming in the dark for a couple more hours. There’s nothing better than swimming in a huge body of water when the sun rises, don’t you agree? Keep it up, girl!
Keep smiling Courtney!! Caroline, Shaine and Lauren are all cheering for you!!
Go Courtney! You are an inspiration to those of us who try to imagine what is possible with a determined spirit. May the shore greet you soon as you achieve your Triple Crown goal.
Keep smiling & swimming! Looking good out there!
Your Lake Ontario (LOST) swim friend, Melanie
Courtney has so much to smile about! And everyone who knows her and has followed her incredible journey, is smiling with her! I am so proud to know such an amazing athlete and swimmer.
Go girl! I’m smiling thinking of how proud we all are of you and of the celebration we’ll have upon your return to solid ground! Keep it up!
