Past the bridge and approaching Thompson Island. Once we pass that, it’s toward home……and a cold beer for Ms. Courtney. This is Thompson Island just off our port side, against the Boston skyline.

Coming up to the bridge. Boston skyline in the distance. Beautifully Boston Strong.

Approaching the Long Island Bridge. We’ve been swimming just shy of 2 hours at this point and Courtney looks strong. She gives a big shout out to her buddies, Mo and Eileen, who are swimming up in Cape Cod today.

Just had our first feed. Tasty little Perpetuam Gatorade mix. Knocked it out in a good time; about 40 seconds. Stroke rate about 56, about 6 strokes slower than normal, due to the chop.

Well, we’re up and running. Courtney’s been in the water now for about 11 minutes. Beautiful day on the water. Wind a little gusty and right in our face, but other than that, great morning for a little swim.
